    "Crazy pretty much sums it up," Luke responded when asked at church yesterday what he thought about this adventure. It definitely is crazy--crazy good, crazy hard, crazy fun, crazy lonely, and crazy beautiful most of all. There is so much to take in and process, I often struggle to find words to capture what is going on, in our minds, in our hearts, in our truck, and in our 5th wheel. But 100 days into this particular craziness seems worthy of reflection for me.

  • Confessions of my Traveling Mindset

    As we get further into this traveling adventure, I find that different places and opportunities bring out different things in me. I think people (including me) return from vacation needing a vacation or just rest because they have done or seen so much in a short amount of time. I think there is an inherent "now-or-never" mentality of being in new places short-term. I think there is also more awe and curiosity.   • Chapter 5, Sioux Falls, SD

    When we had originally planned our trip, we had planned to be in Sioux Falls for a week, but when the company Disney cruise date was changed from June to July, we decided to just spend one night boondocking (just parked, not hooked up to water or electricity) there instead.
